Alex Byrne M.Sc - Co founder

Alex Byrne is a behavioral and evolutionary ecologist. For his PhD, Alex studies the evolution of novel mating signals in crickets across the Hawaiian Islands, investigating how ecological context, receiver psychology, and species interactions shape signal diversification. His master’s research examined collective oviposition behavior in vernal pool amphibians, combining field experiments, mesocosms, and computational and statistical modeling to understand how social cues and environmental heterogeneity influence reproductive decisions. Alex has also worked on research across a range of topics from the thermal tolerence of Japanese Knotweed rhizomes, filtration capcity of freshwater Mussels, movement ecology of Redbacked Salamanders, predator prey dynamics of dragonflys and the natural history of the Mink Frog. Christian Liriano - Co founder

Christian Liriano’s research interests cover various aspects of ecology, focusing particularly on the habitat ecology and taxonomy of understudied organisms in northeastern North America, such as spiders and bryophytes. His work also includes comparative studies on community and ecosystem ecology in rural and urban environments, with special attention to the interactions within both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. As a member of the Reinmann Lab at the Advanced Science Research Center, he is advancing his research and planning to pursue a Ph.D. CV
